Centenas de escolas em todo o país receberam remessas de produtos de carne prontos para consumo da BrucePac com suspeita de contaminação por listeria, de acordo com a última atualização do Departamento de Agricultura dos Estados Unidos sobre o recall em massa, que agora inclui 11,7 milhões de libras de carne e aves produzidas entre 31 de maio e 8 de outubro de 2024.
Na quinta-feira, 17 de outubro de 2024, o Serviço de Inspeção e Segurança Alimentar (FSIS) do USDA divulgou uma lista preliminar de quase 200 escolas em 16 estados e Washington, D.C. que receberam os produtos recolhidos.
