O filme “La La Land” igualou o recorde de indicações do “Titanic” em 1997 e teve 14 indicações para o Oscar 2017. O anúncio foi feito na manhã de terça-feira (24) pela Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas de Hollywood.
A 89ª edição da cerimônia acontecerá em 26 de fevereiro, em Los Angeles. O apresentador será o comediante e apresentador de talk-show Jimmmy Kimmel, que foi escolhido após comandar o Emmy em 2012 e em 2016.
Um dos destaques do anúncio desta terça foi a atriz Meryl Streep, que quebrou seu próprio recorde de categorias de atuação. Esta é a 20ª vez em que ela concorre. Agora, Meryl vai buscar a estatueta de melhor atriz por seu papel na comédia musical “Florence”. Meryl já levou o Oscar três vezes.
Os nomes dos concorrentes foram lidos pelas atrizes Jennifer Hudson e Brie Larson, pelo diretor Jason Reitman, pelo diretor de fotografia mexicano Emmanuel Lubezki, pelo ator japonês Ken Watanabe e pela presidente da Academia, Cheryl Boone Isaacs. “La la land” apresenta a história da aspirante a atriz Mia (Emma Stone) e do músico de jazz Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), que lutam por oportunidades em Los Angeles.
